Peter Mertens—the man behind such big names as Audi, Volvo, Polestar and Zenuity— urges bold decisions in the face of radical change. By Megan Lampinen

It’s a daunting evolution for traditional automakers.

According to industry authority Peter Mertens, now is the time to take bold and decisive action around future technologies, or these automakers could soon find themselves with no role to play. “Don’t take chances but do take calculated risks,” he tells Automotive World.
